Thumbs down

A bunch of us Tecate guys have tried the ricky's too...el-sucko...only in a pinch and maybe not even then.

Timing plate is way off...sometimes..sometimes not? A good oem will last and last but the ricky's fry up in a hurry.

junk junk junk junk junk junk.... your better off winding your own than going with them for stators... ya know there are kits to do that....

bah, OEM is the way to go

now that i think about it... really, how hard is it to fruck up a stator? i mean when i was 12 i rewound rc car motors with info off the net and balanced them with a couple of razor blades without ever having a problem, it either worked for a long time or it never worked in the first place!

AND a stator doesn't move! it doesn't need to be balanced...

I heard it is because all the stators are now made in China. Seems they used to make great stuff, then decided to have China make them and now they are junk. But hey they replace them for free...I wonder why...hahaha

I have had a few, they last 1 or 2 rides max. JUNK!!!!

From what I know.. Ricky used to build his own and now he doesn't it.. Now it's a china company.
You can prob prove me wrong but his works sure proves the rumor.

Ricky stator stuff is great.................... If you like wasting money and really need another paperweight on your desk to remind you not to buy crappy parts. I got a bad flywheel and stator straight from them. The flywheel was out of round and you couldnt set the pickup gap correctly. The stator had a high rpm miss. the replacement stator lasted 2 trips then the lighting coil went out. could only run a 75 watt bulb on a 200 watt stator. Get your stocker rewound, that is your only bet

yeah... ricky is no bueno... he's cheap though, but so is a 2 dollar hooker. and i dont know about you, but i would be a little sketchy when something "supposedly" so good is so cheap.

P.S. key word.... CHEAP...
