My 450 run's great on dirt but would like to have more power in the sand. I'd love to go with a BB kit (490) but don't have the $'s right now. So what other mod's can I do? Or should I keep saving for the BB?

+1 on SP sugestion of head work. you can also lower the gearing, cheap way to make it move detter in the sand. also easy to switch back for the dirt.

LTE? Never heard of them, not saying they're not good pipes.
I've liked the Ron Woods Rotax pipes best for the dunes, they offer a very nice mid to top gain. They also offer a very nice intake system. The stock cams will acctually outperform those stage 1 cams if you retard the exhaust cam one tooth. The big bore kit will net you a bit more low to mid power, but if you're looking to get more power in the upper rpms then headwork would be your next logical step. |
