Default closest place to ride

going to hermosa beach for two weeks and was thinking of taking the bikes would like to no where the closest place to ride would be pismo , glamis , or dumont and how far they are and what i would need for permits etc.

wow! Hermosa is not as close as you may think. Depending on where you are coming from. You may be better off hitting the dunes first or on your way back.

Both Glamis and dumont are aprrox 260miles away and Pismo, about 180 miles

however all are vastly different and each desearve their own trip

im in kansas and i go to little sahara down in waynoka Ok. and thats 270 miles so the trip to pismo or glamis , dumont wont be to bad for me .do you no what permits i mite need

My votes for Glamis, 260mi. ain't shit once you see what you drove for! Might need a non-resident permit, think they sell those on-site.....

When you coming out to Cali?

the second or last week of aug. i was told it sould start getting a little colder out then i was hoping below 80

Colder? !lol its somewhere around 105-115 in August. Still about 100 till mid Sept. Your best bet would be Pismo, we're there about once a mont in the summer. Keep us posted on your trip, a few of us might be out there.....

Yeah, anytime from mid Oct to end of April is good @ Glamis/Dumont.
