Default Lunched it on the Shee.

Well we went to Hot Wells for Easter this last weekend and on Friday morning we had to figure out a problem with a Raptor 350. A clutch plate bolt came loose and was rubbing on the cover. No biggie, got it fixed and put back together. Buddy of mine asked me to follow him to make sure all was adjusted okay and working right. I grab my helmet and jump on the Shee ( didn't feel the need to put on my riding boots ). Anyways we ride out a little ways and he says all is good. We turn around to head back to camp and that's when it all went bad. I was runnin the whoops between 3rd and 4th as I usually do but going through a nice little S turn, somebody had gotten stuck and left some really nice tire holes dead center of the turn. I caught them with my left side, lost the footing on my right side and that was all it took. My right foot went straight under my paddle, turned sideways and all I could do was let go and hope for the best. It ripped me off the bike, slammed me head 1st into the ground and then ran me over. I had paddle tracks all the way up my back. My right leg is purple all over ( I have a pic of my ankle I will put up later ) both legs are loaded with road rash as is my right arm, my collar bone and throat are tore up and bruised and i have bruises down my back and across my ribs. I took it easy the rest of Friday and most of Sat. Didn't really ride much the rest of the time due to my knee being ttriple the regular size and couldn't kick my bike over very easily. I am still really sore and I may have tore my knee out again (3rd time) but am waiting a few more days to be sure before I go back to the Dr. I had the Teryx to bomb around on so that helped keep me busy.

Wow sound slike a nasty wreck ! On a brighter note you came out fairly well considering how bad it really could have been !

Take care of yourself, and heal up well !

Thanks guys. My ankle is still black and swollen. The bike ended up about 30 feet from me on the trail and my damn shoe was right behind it. How that happened I don't know. The guy I was helping came around the corner and missed me by about 6 feet. All I could think was I can't get up and i am going to get ran over twice in 1 day LOL.

That sucks man. Sounds like your wreck could have been a lot worse. Your wreck makes a good selling point for having nerf bars and wearing all or your gear even just for a shot ride.

Yeah it does, problem is my nerfs would have done nothing since they don't have heel guards. I'm not going to put heel guards on, I am just going to make better decisions on wearing my gear. That was the last "trail" ride for the Shee anyways.
