My buddy goes there all the time. Not sure if these are the same as the Las Cruces dunes or not.

sorry It might be some diffrent dunes, It was a little over ten years ago when we went there and it had to be that one weekend it was the one of two weekends that it was open or might have just been open for the trucks, It was hella fun though. So if it is the same place and we can ride there we should get a group and go check that out.

I think it actually is a pinkish red. I am working on getting some info on them.
