So then explain to this 2 stroke newby how the CR ignition is better, or offers more performance over the stock ATC or TRX ignition????

cr ignition has a better power curve setup for each gear ,i belive the curve changes in each gear and it provides a hotter spark and timing adavance ,but ive heard some bad storys on cr ignitons like the stator plate coming loose and advances the timing by 10+

The CR ignition lets the TRX motor behave more like the full-blown CR engine--faster revs, higher RPM ceiling, etc... My R had the PVL/CR ignition... Hard, pain in the butt to start, but it ran good...
