The reaosn it's funny you ask about "over but acceptable" is because the rangers don't write citations for anything under 100dB unless you're being an a$$hole. |

For all you banshee guys out there with built bikes. I have a 472 supercub built by Cameron at Redline Racing. I am running big bore cpi's with cascade silencers with the quiet turn down caps and it is really quiet and makes great power. You can still beat your buddies and be somewhat quiet at the same time. I love loud pipes personally as "Loud Pipes Save Lives", however if I want my son to enjoy the same experiences I had growing up riding atvs you have to do what you can to keep riding areas open.

If we cooperate it will quite down for a short period then be a hot topic later down the road. For the most part they won't be truly happy until there are no riders anymore. |

FYI....Save the Riders Dunes along with others would love to see 1 Db for all 50 states whether it be BLM, FS or County...that way the Manufactures know what they have to hit for everywhere....I personally have now problem with hitting 93db with our MUzzy's, but I would rather see 96...I have helped at Sandfest and Dunefest with Db testing...96 to 98 is very doable.....
If your above that...ticket We would not have the problem today if FS would have done there job with enforcement....IMO and several others that attend the 10c meetings... Barbara |

Lets just say hypothetically we compromise and say 93db is the standard (I know it's the current law). They win and in a decade when the topic hits the table again we will be expected to compromise once again until there is none left. I've seen these tactics happen in the planning process over the years, you agree with these groups only to have the standard change the next time you sit down to the table and they want more. It's very difficult to get anything back. I don't much care for the noise of the 100db systems and fully agree with you but 96db is both doable but below the nascence level IMO and also illegal in the dunes though it doesn't effect anybody. |
