The V-forces are a nice reed cage setup for supporting more power, but the power difference with them alone won't be jaw dropping. For the money spent on them there are a lot of things that will give you a more substantial gain. As far as the jetting for coral, what are your mods on the bikes? And, yes it does take a considerable amount of power to turn the same tires at higher elevations.

The bikes have t5s, cfm airboxes with unipods and +4 timing. No porting, yet.

What about head mods? I didn't think coral was that high, can't remember the elevation there...but you should have been fine with those 290's, maybe less main

no head mods either. since i want to stay on 91/93 pump gas, i never saw the point of a coolhead. the elevation there was like 6000ft, according to my gps.

With no porting and T-5's with an airbox you should have been in the 260-270 range on your jets. I wonder if you got some bad gas to be honest.
