SandPsycho's right, it's more like a one paddle difference.

The Extremes have an extra 1/8" of meat supporting each paddle than the standard Hauler. The paddles on both the Hauler and the Extreme are the same height, 7/8" tall. For added height, Skat Trak used to make a tire called the Taller Hauler, which had a taller paddle, but I don't think they offer that one anymore.

Yeah I've looked at a buddies Extreme paddle and they are about same height but just a little stiffer. I think I'm going to try the Extremes in an 8 paddle.

I still do have the stock swinger! I could use a little help on my wheelies! lol . . .

Currently I think im getting a little to much wheel spin. But I've noticed my Hauler blades are a little soft.

I went to the Sand Sports Super Show this weekend and out of the 10 guys selling paddles there they sold SandStars, Sand Brats (they are just as good as extremes but a tiny bit lighter because it has been buffed down to just about completely exposing the cords), DWT DOONZ, and of coirse Extremes. The guy I talked to from Fullerton Sand Sports compared a ITP SandStar (which is what i current run), to a same size 7 paddle Extreme or Sand Brat (which I want to switch to) ... He stated a 4-5 bike length difference in those 2! Impressive I say!

The ones that are buffed to the cord are the paddle brats right?

Skat Trak also makes one buffed way down called an ultralight. A lot of the banshee guys run them for drag racing, then try to go for "just a quick little ride". There is so little tire there, they are great for dragging but just don't hold up to duning.

I just switched from haulers to extremes and you will notice a difference. You should Give John Safarian a call from SAND TOYS UNLIMITED. Straight up guy and loves discounts.

I've ran superlites "SLS" on all my bikes and granted Im not a hardcore duner - More like a cruiser... I have never had a problem duning with superlites. I ride at dumont alot, Rocks all over the place and zero flats. I did have a set on my R that went bad but they were 10+ years old.

the differance between a hauler and extreme is this. at take off on high powered(hi rev) machines the standard hauler paddles with actually fold backwards were the extreme not so much! another route would be to have them add a layer or three of kevlar to your standard hauler for strengh. When we went down 3 weeks ago we brought mostly Hondas with us so 3 atc250r and 4 trx250r with some smaller hondas to. my buddie had a set of the TALLER HAULERS. awesome looking tire with huge 1 1/8" very cupped blades. they were stupid on the trike. threw a 30+ ft roost, couldn't even see what was in front of you. make the trike shake bad. Tires choices make a huge differance IMO. my buddies lit bro just had to have these billet hubs that had the J arm bolt pattern. so he had to take his 8 paddle extremes off for some so-so 8 paddle 20x10x10. dropped down to a water shot late one night and after 6 attempts had to pack his shit up the last 40 ft. needless to say he ditched the hubs the next day and bought us all a bunch of beers!
