No Glamy, I haven't tried it. I'm not a two-wheels-in-the-sand kind of guy. Some friends of ours have a few KX500's in their garage that they bring to the sand every now again and traction is not the problem, steering is. The narrow front tire has to remain light or an endo will be the result, which means staying hard on the gas is the only option. IMHO a wider front end to accept a better floating tire would be the ticket. Bykas has done a ton of research and development on this and makes an awesome product so I'm sure there's a reason why he chose not to incorporate that. I know he's tried quite a few front tire/rim combos.

No Glamy, it's not cold up here at our house 60 miles inland. It's been in the high 90s or low 100s since mid-June here. Makes it real nice to go to the coast where it's 70s.

Where did you stay for Dunefest Elkaracingshee? Would you choose that same spot again next year or try out a new one?

next year i will definatly try out camping more lol. The place we stayed were like small cabins, but were super discusting, i forget what their called, but their right beside the dunes, its like when your driving on the same road towards the dunes you will see on your right hand side some green trailer like cabins, STAY AWAY FROM THOSE!!! and it was fricking expensive too, it was 600USD for like 5nights, and we had to do all the shopping, too many to complain about, but i would definatly camp next time.

Elkaracing, you are wise to try to get on the sand to camp. On any given weekend it's a lot more fun. During the week of Dunefest, it's even better.
